概要

昨今、DevOpsという言葉が広くソフトウェア業界で語られるようになりました。
DevOpsはただ開発(Dev)と運用(Ops)の部署が連携しましょう、というだけの話ではありません。
全体としてのバリューストリームを見極め、不必要なムダをなくすことこそが本当の目的です。

メアリー・ポッペンディークは『リーンソフトウェア開発』の著者で、トヨタ生産方式由来のリーンをソフトウェア業界に適用しよう、という点で世界を引っ張ってきました。そして、手法から心構えまで幅広い話題を扱ってきました。
牛尾剛は、XPとアジャイルとDevOpsの分野で、実務とコンサルティングの両輪で業界を支援してきました。現在はMicrosoftでDevOpsの普及促進を職務にしています。

この一日研修では、バリューストリームマッピングが実際のデリバリープロセスにおいてどのように機能するか、どのように使っていくかを学びます。メアリーからバリューストリームマッピングの理論とコンセプトを解説し、いくつかの事例を紹介します。牛尾から日本での事例やどのように進めていくべきかについて議論されます。その後、バリューストリームマップの実践ワークショップが行われます。一日の最後にどのようにDevOpsを使って全体のバリューストリームを改善するのかを議論します。

Value Steam Mapping and DevOps Training

DevOps is now widely spreading into the software world. It means not only collaboration Dev and Ops, also means eliminate unnecessary Muda(waste) in whole value stream.

Mary Poppendieck, the author of Lean Software Development have been leading how people could learn the concept of Lean in software industry, from practices to mindset.

Tsuyoshi Ushio has been a leading practitioner and consultant in XP/Agile/DevOps area. And now he is famous as a DevOps evangelist of Microsoft.

In this one day training, attendees will learn how Value Stream Mapping works and analysing actual delivery process. Mary will present theory, ideas, and examples of Value Stream Maps; then Ushio will discuss how to do it and how it works in Japan. Afterwards,  the attendees will practice with a Value Stream Map, and finally, we will discuss DevOps and how it improves the value stream.
